Electoral commission boss Eng Badru-Kiggunda has officially announced the commission’s program for the coming by-elections in both Butambala and Usuk County.

Eng Kiggundu told scribes at the EC headquarters in Kampala that EC has chosen 12 September this year for the polling date of Butambala and Usuk by-elections.

“As electorates in Butambala move to the polls for the MP by- election, they will at the sometime poll for the sub county women councilors for Kitimba parish to Kalamba Sub County and Bule parish to Bulo Sub County” He noted

The EC boss however warned candidates who are going to participate in various by-elections and their agents over their conduct during the campaigning process

Elsewhere EC is soon to open investigations about the violence that erupted in Kasese district by-election campaign which left FDC’s candidate Winnie Kizza supporters beaten and sustain serious injuries.

Eng Kiggundu further castigated the habit of gun men in civilian attires  who caused chaos in previous Bukoto south by-election added that the commission is committed to monitor them seriously in the coming by-elections

    Badru your a backing dog start biting. Who in your own understanding can put on civilian and walk around with guns if not state agents? So kindly get out of the EC if you can’t manage but give a critical report that paves way for the constitution of an independent EC. On to you Badru we are watching.
