The Ministry of Education and Sports have announced that the review of Uganda’s Primary School curriculum review is complete.
Education minister Jessica Alupo said on Thursday that the new curriculum will now include Swahili language , Early Child Development and agriculture.Alupo said that the changes will help students get more relevant education that what students have been getting.
MPs in Uganda in 201o called for an urgent review of the country’s free education system to address declining standards.
The increased enrollment under the government’s universal primary and secondary education programmes put “enormous pressure” on the education system, which resulted in a drop in standards.
