After Kenya being attacked , the commissioner of Police in charge of Private security organisations and firearms, Basil Mugisha has urged the security firms to conform to measures of fighting terrorism and other form of crime.

He asked them to work with Police in combating crime and protecting Ugandans.

“When you are doing your work, nobody should intimidate you, I want you to search everybody at every entry point of building that you are deployed to guard,” Mugisha said

He stressed that discipline was key while executing any security duty. Mugisha advised the private security personnel to stop drinking alcohol while on duty since it creates weak points in the security system.

Mugisha was addressing security stakeholders at a function organised by secured Security company to award security personnel and selected Police officers for their good performance while executing their duties.

The ceremony in which eight Securex guards and three Police officers received certificates for their good performance, took place at Securex headquarters in Bugolobi, a Kampala suburb last week.

Securex director of operations George Esiango promised to continuously follow measures of fighting crime and terror.
