By Sandra Birungi

Both Ugandan contestants in Tusker Project Fame 5, Sharon and Allan are on probation after crappy performances yesterday.

Sharon Nakhioga and Allan Roy Serikinda both performed yesterday at the first voting night. Sharon did Jackie Chandiru’s Gold digger which received a lot of applause from the audience but none from the judges.

Judge Julianna agreed with Hermes saying the Ugandan representative in the house did more dancing and performing than singing while Judge Ian said he watched her more than listened to her which was wrong.

Sharon and Allan were put on probation alongside other contestants from the house. In total, they are five on probation this week.

Among them are Doreen Nyawira from Kenya, Imani Lissu from Tanzania and Mer Ayang from South Sudan.

Uganda has so far won twice in Tusker Project fame, the most recent being Davis who won last year after trying a couple of times. However, this time round, there seems a slim chance that a Ugandan will win after both contestants being put on probation this week.

Sharon’s powerful voice is one of the best in the house although Kenya’s Ruth is making a run for her money.

Good luck to our Ugandan contenders.
