Cecilia Owor, Japadhola queen was laid rest on Saturday at Tieng Adhol’s Palace in Amangoro in Tororo municipality.
President Museveni in his condolence message described her as a symbol of unity.
“The queen was a symbol of unity that was bound to promote social transformation among subjects of the Tieng Adhola,” President Museveni said.
The Queen is survived by a husband Tieng Adhola, 10 children and several grandchildren.
She was hailed or her commitment to advocate for peace and the disciplined children and grandchildren he has left behind.
The burial ceremony was also attended by the Buganda Queen Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda.
