Hosni Mubarak in full Coma

Egypt’s ousted leader Hosni Mubarak remained in full coma for the second day.

Adel Saeed, the prosecutor’s spokesman said on Tuesday that defibrillators have been used several times to revive Mubarak “due to heart complications.

Mubarak’s  two sons Gamal and Alaa  have been granted permission keep beside him .His wife, former first lady Suzanne Mubarak, and the couple’s two daughters-in-law were granted special permission to visit him in Cairo’s Torah prison early Sunday.

A medical team’s report on Saturday said Mubarak is at risk of stroke while others say that Mubarak’s death is imminent .Mubarak’s health started deteriorating  since his June 2 conviction for failing to stop the killing of protesters during the uprising that overthrew him in 2011.

His life sentence saw him transferred immediately to a prison hospital, instead of the military hospital and other facilities where he had been held since his April 2011 arrest.

The trial began again in December 2011 and lasted until January 2012. The defense strategy was that Mubarak never actually resigned, was still president, and thus had immunity.

On 2 June 2012, Mubarak was found guilty of not putting a stop to the killing of protesters by the Egyptian security forces and sentenced to life in prison. The court found Mubarak not guilty of ordering the crackdown on Egyptian protesters. All other charges against Mubarak, including profiteering and economic fraud, were dismissed.

Mubarak’s two sons, Habib el-Adly, and six senior police officials were all acquitted for their role in the killings of demonstrators due to lack of evidence.
