Total E&P Uganda is offering four Master’s degree scholarship programs at the International French Petroleum Institute (IFP) in France (taught in English), for the academic year 2012, starting in September. Applications are open for:

  • Master’s Degree Reservoir Geosciences and Engineering: Ref No: Masters RESP 1
  • Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geosciences: Ref No: Master GPSP2

This opportunity is open to young university graduates willing to specialize in the Geosciences disciplines: Geophysics or Reservoir Engineering.

The master’s degree program is open to university graduates who have recently obtained a minimum 4 year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University.

Course Duration
16 – month scholarship program at IFP school, including a summer internship at a Total subsidiary or at company headquarters.

Who can apply
Students with Bachelors of Engineering from recognised university in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the below criteria:
Ugandan nationality and residing in Uganda
Below 26 years of age
First class Degree or upper Second Class Degree in bachelor of engineering (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical)
Committed to returning to Uganda at the end of the scholarship program.

Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will go through various assessments including panel interviews, technical and aptitude tests.
