Kampala City Council Authority has started recruiting new staff despite of the ongoing probe into the recruitment.
The authority is recruiting through Public Service Commission and the deadline for receiving applications is 10th April 2012.
KCCA has advertised positions in Human Resource and Management, Health, Administration, accounting, procurement and logistics among others.
Over 200 vacant positions have been advertised in KCCA recruitment phase 1.Other posts will be advertised in other phases to follow this.
Most positions advertised in the first phase are mainly in the management and administration section with some few in the health.
In this first phase, no applicant is allowed to apply for more than one position and should poses all the required qualifications and experience.
In most of the jobs advertised ,the working experience required ranges from two to five years.
The City Executive Director-Jennifer Musisi said 1,200 staff including permanent and support staff will be recruited from March.
Musisi says the current office bearers will be subjected to fresh interviews and unsuccessful staff will be given their retirement packages.
Most of the former worker of the defunct KCC however insist that subjecting them to new application and interviewing process with other applicants is unfair to them.
