This weekend all Ugandan football fans eyes will be on UBC TV to watch one of the most important games in Uganda’s history as the cranes only need one point from Luanda to qualify for the Africa cup of nations in which it last participated 30 years ago. Many of us were not yet born and most of the players in that squad have died, others are coaches in different clubs and others in private work.
We has to many players in the squad with this being their last campaign and if they fail to qualify which I feel is next to impossible they will never have a chance to play in the Africa nations cup for example the Captain of the cranes Sekagya.
The team is currently Camping in Kenya and all the players are in good shape with Obua who joined early Thursday morning and the captain who reached last will have no chance to train with teammates as they have to depart for Luanda early Friday.
The many times Uganda has played with Angola, Uganda Cranes looks to be on a better side though Angola has participated in international competitions including the world cup. And this is proved when it comes to FIFA rankings. However, that should not make Cranes Relax but work hard to make the dream of every Ugandan come true because we have for sure spent a lot time with out participating in the most fancied tournament on the Continent.
The squad has all the best players out of Uganda like Denis Onyango(1)Plays in South Africa, Simeon Masaba (2) Ugandan League, Vincent Kayizzi, Godfrey Walusimbi, Ibrahim Sekagya (5) From Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, Nestroy Kizito, Modde Mussa , David Obua from Hearts in Scotland, Godfrey Massa, Abby Dhaira, Patrick Ochan, Tony Mawejje, Andy Mwesigya, with Bobby Williamson as the head Coach the squad is for sure going to Discipline Angola at their home on Sunday.

Uganda leads the table with 10 points followed by Angola with 7 then Kenya with 4 and Bissau last with 3 points which means a draw for Uganda is enough to see them next year in the Africa nations cup since that one point will push
Uganda has 12 points four points ahead of Angola with one game remaining at home in Nambole were no team has ever registered a win in this campaign. Our Counterparts Kenya and Bissau will play on Saturday 3th which i think CAF has to look into to avoid syndicate possibilities. However, Let’s hold our Rosaries hard and one should pray in the language he knows best for Uganda cranes and we wish them the best. We go, We go Uganda Cranes we go.
