5:00 pm Voting has been concluded all over Kampala

3:30 pm Godfrey Nyakana, the Kampala central NRM stalwart has been beaten at Nakasero market

3:00 pm Rain has now stopped in most areas of Kampala, voting has resumed


7:00 pm It is raining in most parts of Kampala, voting has been halted

12: 40 pm Kampala Mayoral Candidate Erias Lukwago has said that the NRM is planning violence in the evening. While addressing the media after casting his vote, Lukwago said that the NRM is preparing thugs in DP and FDC t shirts who will cause commotion during the evening hours. According to Lukwago, NRM might use that opportunity to ballot stuff  

12: 31 pm Erias Lukwago says that many of his agents are under arrest threats, he says that the MPs he brought to help safe guard his ballots are under constant pressure and might be arrested soon

12:30 pm Kampala mayoral hopeful Erias Lukwago has finally cast his vote at Makerere Kivulu play ground

12: 20 pm Micheal Mabbike has said that very many people especially at Makerere University are voting in names which are not theirs 

12: 05 pm Another mayoral candidate Mike Mabbike has also cast his vote at Makindye. He has said that this election has not been free and fair

12: 03  pm Mayoral Candidate Francis Babu has cast his vote at All Saints Church. He has said that he is confident of winning

12:00 pm  Voting has stopped in some parts of Kampala like Mbuya, Kitintale and Bugolobo due to heavy rains

11: 00 am Voting has picked up in many parts of the city. People are making long lines to vote for mayor in some pooling stations in Kawempe

10:14 am Lukwago’s elections Supervisor at Kazo Angola polling station in Kawempe has been chased from the polling area. He says that the act is illegal and may signal something

10: 13 am Immediately after casting his vote, Sematimba has vowed to win by  64%

10:08 am Peter Sematimba has become the first candidate to cast his vote at Kakeka polling station in Lubaga

10: 00 am Voting has not yet began at central  zone in Wabigalo. Elections materials have not yet arrived

9:30 am Medrad Seggona is supposed to guard Lukwago’s votes in Kampala central but we have unconfirmed reports that he has been stopped from entering Kampala

8:50 am Mayoral candidate Lukwago has deployed MPs to guard his votes in all division of the city

8:26 am Voting at Ham Mukasa polling station near CBS radio has began though turn out is still low

8:25 am Police says that it is ready to arrest anyone who might cause violence including those who will move with election minded people in car

8:22 am According Sarah Eperu, an observer and opposition leader,  Elections officers have not changed as it had been agreed upon. She says that they are the same officers who were involved in the past violence 

8:20 am In Nakawa, at Naguru infant primary schools, voting began 35 minutes late

8:18 am  Soldiers have turned up in big numbers to vote in Makindye division. Voters turn up is still low in most parts of Kampala

8:09 am Kampala Mayoral candidate Emmanuel Tumusime will not vote for himself since he is not a registered voter in Kampala 

8:01 am Polling materials have just arrived in most parts of Bwaise and arrangements are being made for vote casting to begin

8: 00 am by 7:30 am voting materials had not yet arrived at many polling institutions including Civic center, Bat Valley, Luzira market place, Dungu quarters in Kitintale

7:16 am The Electoral commission has availed a hot line which any one can call for free to report any election related materials. The number is 080020071

7:15 am In Lubaga Divison, election  materials have not yet arrived in on most poling areas

7:14 am In Makindye division, the election materials arrived early, voting in most parts of the division has began

7: 13 am Election materials in most parts of Nakawa division  have not yet reached, voting has not yet began in the area at this time

7:10 am Election chairman Eng Badru Kigundu  has just told the media that information about the 32 boxes is not true

7:08 am Lukwago has already claimed that 32 election boxes have been seen in some parts of the city which might be used for election multi practice

Due to irregularities the Mayoral elections have been suspended. This is partly due to the many boxes have been found with pre-ticked boxes in favour of Sematimba

2:00 pm Kampala Mayoral Elections suspended

1:35 pm Francis Babu has cast his vote, he insisted that it is not the NRM which is rigging the mayoral; elections in Kampala but an individual. Babu has said that, that individual needs to be banned from public politics

1: 30 pm In Rubaga Division, Kakeeka polling station, there were ugly scenes after Mr Ssematimba’s supporters turned rowdy and clashed with Mr Lukwago’s supporters who had intercepted a rigging plan. It took the intervention of the military police to calm the situation. Voters who had gathered to cast their ballots scampered to safety.

12:04 pm Erias Lukwago has just finished casting his vote at Kivulu near the Adventist church. He has vowed that he must win

12:01 pm Another polling station has been cancelled out. This was at Railway polling station where there where so many ballot papers in the box compared to the voters

12:00 pm Nyakana has boxed a Red Paper journalist at the Railway poling station

11:58 am Police and the military have taken over Kakeka polling stations in Lubaga, all roads leading to super fm have also been closed

11:47 am Voting has been cancelled in Kampala at a number of polling stations. These include Bat Valley, Civic Center, Public National Library and Kakyeka

11:45 am People at Buganda Road have attacked the local chairman at his house claiming that he was in charge of rigging for Sematimba at the polling station

11: 43 am People in Kawempe Mbogo are claiming that people came in a numberless taxi and stuffed the boxes with too many ballot boxes

11: 40 am The situation is not so good at Kilokole polling station and Kawempe Mbogo. People claim ballot stuffing from Sematimba’s side

11:33 am Boxes at a polling station at Kawempe Mbogo are reportedly already full with ballot papers yet few people have voted. Residents claim that people came in a taxi and voted at once, by the time they left, boxes where full

11: 32 am Journalists, Nicholas Bbale of Channel and Lydia of Bukedde TV have been beaten by police while covering a story of Lukwago supporters who attacked Super FM and Kakake polling station where massive rigging has been reported

11:30 am Journalist are putting Uganda police’s Andrew Sorowen under pressure to explain why there fellow journalist have been beaten while covering an election story in Lubaga

11:17 am 48 supporters of Erias Lukwago have been arrested. These men where arrested in Bwaise and according to Betty Nambooze who took them there, the men had gone to guard Lukwago votes

11: 15 am People are surrounding a house at Buganda road teachers quarters, they claim that a man with ticked ballot papers entered the that house. Police is preventing them

11: 14 am Situation is getting worse at Buganda Road polling stations, one Lukwago supporters arm has been broken

11:11 am Heavy deployment at Super FM, people say that fake voters are hiding there

11: 05 am Super FM owned by Peter Sematimba has been attached by a multitude of Lukwago supporters. These people claim that Presenters are abusing non Sematimba supporters

11: 00 am Voting at Kakeka polling stations in Lubaga has been cancelled. There we reports of vote rigging from Sematimba groups

10:44 am Journalist have come and pressure and some beaten in Lubaga while trying to cover scenes

10:40 am Another person reported dead and another taken to hospital in critical condition in Lubaga.

10: 36 am New reports coming new show that, people have been caught voting rigging at Nakasero 1 ,Kalitunsi, Nsambya ,National theater,and Bat valley. all the pre-ticked votes have been for Sematimba

10:33 am A lot of military presence in most parts of the country. There are many security organs in most places. People are scared

10: 28 am It has been reported that 2 supported of Lukwago have been killed, this came about when they where trying to stop vote rigging

10:05 am Voting and results at the National theater polling station has been cancelled out due to massive rigging

10:00 am This is surprising, Vote counting has started at the National Library polling stations, though no voters had turned up to vote, current results show that Sematimba has 300 votes and Lukwago has only 26 votes. Megard Seggona is around and trying to tassel it out with the elections agents

9:50 am Voting at Kas club polling station has been cancelled out after it was discovered that the boxes are already filled with vote. Vote rigging has been reported in many parts of Kampala

9:15 am More polling boxes filled with Sematimba votes found at Kawempe, Kas club polling situation. There has been fighting at the polling station

9:00 am More than 300 pre ticked votes in favor of Sematimba are found at Bat Valley polling station. A lot of commotion
